Template — Create Shopify customers in HubSpot

The problem

When a customer buys on Shopify, your CRM should know about it immediately. This template creates or updates a HubSpot contact for every new Shopify customer, so marketing and sales always work with fresh data.

How it works

Shopify (new customer / order)
   ↓
Get Customers  →  Data Mapper (Shopify → HubSpot properties)
   ↓
Decision (contact exists in HubSpot?)
   ├─ yes → HubSpot: Update Contact
   └─ no  → HubSpot: Create Contact

Key configuration

  • Match contacts by email to avoid duplicates.
  • Map Shopify tags / total spent into HubSpot properties for segmentation.
  • Add a lifecycle stage (e.g. customer) when the contact comes from a paid order.
