What is a Mercado Libre Credential

A Mercado Libre credential allows your workflows to connect with your Mercado Libre seller account to manage listings, orders, questions, shipments, and marketplace operations. Mercado Libre uses OAuth authentication, which means the connection is established securely without the need to manually enter API keys.

How the OAuth Connection Works

The Mercado Libre integration uses the OAuth 2.0 protocol. This means:

  1. You do not need to generate or copy API keys manually
  2. Authorization is done directly from your Mercado Libre account
  3. Permissions are granted securely and in a controlled manner
  4. You can revoke access at any time from your account settings

How to Connect Your Account

Step 1: Start the Connection from Floogos

  1. In Floogos, go to the credentials section
  2. Select Mercado Libre as the credential type
  3. Click Connect with Mercado Libre

Step 2: Authorize Access

  1. The Mercado Libre authorization page will open
  2. Log in with your seller account
  3. Review the permissions that Floogos is requesting
  4. Click Allow to authorize the connection

Step 3: Verify the Connection

  1. You will be redirected back to Floogos
  2. The credential will be created automatically
  3. Floogos will manage token renewal transparently
  4. Verify the connection is working by running a test

  • Publish and update product listings automatically
  • Manage orders and shipments with Mercado Envios
  • Respond to buyer questions in an automated way
  • Sync inventory and prices between Mercado Libre and your own store
  • Generate sales reports and performance metrics

Troubleshooting

Connection Error

  • Verify your Mercado Libre account is active and in good standing
  • Confirm you do not have restrictions or sanctions on your account
  • Try clearing browser cookies and repeating the process

Expired Token

  • Mercado Libre tokens are automatically renewed in Floogos
  • If the connection stops working, reconnect from the credentials section
  • Verify the application has not been deauthorized from your account

Limited Operations

  • Mercado Libre applies request limits per time window
  • Some operations require your account to have a minimum reputation
  • Check your account status on Mercado Libre to verify restrictions
