Guatemala
In Guatemala, Floogos connects to the SAT (Superintendencia de Administración Tributaria) under the FEL (Factura Electrónica en Línea) regime through a certified provider. Unlike countries where the engine signs and sends documents directly to the tax authority, in Guatemala the certification of the DTE (Documento Tributario Electrónico) always goes through a third party authorized by the SAT.
Integration model
Section titled “Integration model”- Mandatory certified provider: the DTE is built with the FEL standard (DTE 0.2.0 schema) and sent to the certifying provider configured in the credential (e.g. INFILE or another generic provider), which certifies the document with the SAT.
- Optional issuer signature: if the credential has an issuer certificate (.p12) loaded, the DTE is signed locally before sending. If there is no certificate, the certifying provider signs it for you as part of the certification service.
- Authorization Number (UUID): every certified DTE receives a unique UUID that the SAT uses to identify it. That UUID is the value to save in order to cancel the document or generate its printable representation.
- 12% VAT: the Value Added Tax is calculated at 12% on the value of each item, marking whether it is a good (B) or a service (S).
When a document becomes valid
Section titled “When a document becomes valid”A DTE has no fiscal validity just by being built or signed: it only becomes valid once the certifying provider certifies it with the SAT and returns the Authorization Number (UUID). If the certifying provider rejects the submission, the DTE does not exist for tax purposes and the data must be corrected and resent.
Available nodes
Section titled “Available nodes”| Node | Description |
|---|---|
| FelEmitirFactura | Builds the invoice DTE, optionally signs it and sends it to the certifying provider; returns the UUID |
| FelEmitirNota | Issues a Credit (NCRE) or Debit (NDEB) Note referencing the origin document’s UUID |
| FelAnular | Cancels a certified DTE by its UUID, stating the reason |
| FelRepresentacion | Generates the printable representation (HTML/PDF) with the SAT verification QR code |
Typical flow
Section titled “Typical flow”- FelEmitirFactura — builds and certifies the invoice; the UUID (Authorization Number) is obtained.
- FelEmitirNota — (if needed) issues a credit or debit note referencing the invoice’s UUID.
- FelAnular — (if there was an error) cancels the DTE by its UUID, within the window allowed by the SAT.
- FelRepresentacion — generates the HTML with the verification QR code to hand the customer their printed or PDF receipt.
- The
felcredential type stores the issuer’s NIT, the certified provider, its access credentials, the optional certificate (.p12), and the environment (testing or production). - Floogos validates that the digital certificate is not expired before attempting to sign and send a DTE.
- Not every certifying provider supports cancellation in the same adapter; it’s worth confirming that capability with the configured provider.
