Argentina

In Argentina, electronic invoicing is handled by AFIP (Administración Federal de Ingresos Públicos, the federal tax authority). Floogos integrates directly with AFIP through a self-hosted AFIP SDK: there is no third-party intermediary platform involved — the SDK talks directly to AFIP’s web services using the issuer’s digital certificate.

Each Argentina node connects to that AFIP SDK server through an afip credential, configured once with the certificate details and the issuer’s CUIT.

AFIP distinguishes the voucher type based on the VAT status of both the issuer and the recipient:

  • Invoice A — between VAT-registered parties (VAT is broken out separately).
  • Invoice B — issued to a final consumer or to a party that does not break out VAT.
  • Invoice C — issued by a small taxpayer (monotributista) or a VAT-exempt party.

The same scheme applies to Credit and Debit Notes (A, B or C), which always reference the original voucher they correct.

AFIP does not require pre-loading a numbering range: the voucher number is obtained by querying the last authorized number for a given point of sale and voucher type, and AFIP authorizes the next one at issuance time.

A voucher becomes valid once AFIP returns the CAE (Código de Autorización Electrónico, Electronic Authorization Code) along with its expiration date. Without a CAE, the voucher has no fiscal validity. The returned CAE is the key piece of data later used to generate the printable representation with the mandatory QR code.

The VAT rates in Argentina handled by the nodes are 21% (general), 10.5% (reduced) and 0% / exempt. Each voucher specifies the rate applied to the total amount.

NodeFunction
AfipCreateInvoiceIssue an electronic invoice (Invoice A/B/C) to AFIP via the AFIP SDK. Returns the CAE
AfipCreditNoteIssue a credit or debit note referencing the original voucher. Returns the CAE
AfipGetLastVoucherQuery the last authorized voucher number for a point of sale
AfipQueryInvoiceQuery the data of an already-issued voucher (CAE, amount, dates)
AfipRepresentacionGenerate the printable HTML/PDF representation with the mandatory QR code
  1. AfipGetLastVoucher — query the last authorized number for the point of sale and voucher type to be used (optional, useful for keeping local numbering control).
  2. AfipCreateInvoice — issue the invoice: AFIP authorizes the next number and returns the CAE.
  3. AfipCreditNote — if the voucher needs to be voided or corrected, issue a credit or debit note referencing the original.
  4. AfipRepresentacion — generate the printable representation (HTML/PDF) with the mandatory QR code, from the CAE and the data returned by the issuance.

In addition, AfipQueryInvoice allows checking the data of an already-issued voucher at any time, useful for reconciling or recovering the CAE if the original response was lost.

All Argentina nodes use an afip credential, pointing to the self-hosted AFIP SDK server configured with the issuer’s digital certificate and CUIT.
