Asana - List Tasks

↩ Part of the Asana integration.

Lists the tasks of a project (GET /tasks?project={gid}) and returns them as an array. It is the entry point for batch automations: pull a project’s backlog, iterate it and act on each task.

The node returns the array directly in data, so it plugs straight into an iterator.

FieldTypeRequiredDescription
credentials_idcredentialsYesAsana credential
project_gidtextYesProject gid
limitnumberNoMaximum results. Defaults to 50
opt_fieldstextNoComma-separated fields to return (e.g. name,completed)

project_gid accepts dynamic variables. limit and opt_fields are sent as query parameters as-is.

This module requires an Asana credential:

FieldDescription
access_tokenPersonal Access Token from app.asana.com
default_workspace_gidOptional fallback workspace

data is the array of tasks (if the project is empty you get []):

[
{ "gid": "1209876543210987", "resource_type": "task", "name": "Follow-up: ACME Inc." },
{ "gid": "1209876543210988", "resource_type": "task", "name": "Prepare monthly report" }
]

Along with it, _meta:

{ "moduleVersion": "1.0.0", "success": true, "count": 2, "totalMs": 340 }
{
"credentials_id": "asana_ops",
"project_gid": "1201234567890123"
}
{
"credentials_id": "asana_ops",
"project_gid": "1201234567890123",
"limit": 100,
"opt_fields": "name,completed,due_on,assignee"
}
{
"credentials_id": "asana_ops",
"project_gid": "{{data.project_gid}}",
"opt_fields": "name,completed"
}
  • By default Asana returns only gid, resource_type and name. If you need completed, due_on, assignee or anything else, you must ask for it in opt_fields.
  • limit caps what Asana returns in a single call — the node does not paginate automatically. For long projects, raise limit (Asana allows up to 100 per page) or filter upstream.
  • The list includes completed tasks. Filter them out downstream using the completed field.
  • A 404 or 400 on project_gid means the project does not exist or the token’s account has no access. Neither is retried.
