Trello - List Cards
↩ Part of the Trello integration.
Description
Section titled “Description”Returns the cards contained in a Trello list (GET /lists/{idList}/cards). The output is an array, which makes this node the natural pairing with the Iterator: read a column such as “To review” and process every card in it.
Configuration
Section titled “Configuration”| Field | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
credentials_id | credentials | Yes | Trello credential |
id_list | text | Yes | List id |
limit | number | No | Maximum number of cards |
fields | text | No | Comma-separated fields to return (e.g. name,due,idMembers) |
id_list is resolved through dynamic variables ({{data.field}}). limit and fields are sent literally.
Credentials
Section titled “Credentials”This node requires a Trello credential (service type trello):
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
api_key | Trello API key |
token | Token generated when authorizing that key |
Output
Section titled “Output”An array of cards. _meta.count tells you how many came back:
{ "data": [ { "id": "66cd34ef56ab78cd90ef12ab", "name": "Order: ACME Inc.", "due": "2026-08-15T10:00:00.000Z", "idList": "66ab12cd34ef56ab78cd90ef", "closed": false }, { "id": "66cd34ef56ab78cd90ef12ac", "name": "Order: Globex", "due": null, "idList": "66ab12cd34ef56ab78cd90ef", "closed": false } ], "_meta": { "moduleVersion": "1.0.0", "success": true, "count": 2, "totalMs": 305 }}If the list is empty the node still succeeds and returns [].
Usage Example
Section titled “Usage Example”Every card in a list
Section titled “Every card in a list”{ "credentials_id": "trello_ops", "id_list": "66ab12cd34ef56ab78cd90ef"}The 20 most relevant cards, light payload
Section titled “The 20 most relevant cards, light payload”{ "credentials_id": "trello_ops", "id_list": "66ab12cd34ef56ab78cd90ef", "limit": 20, "fields": "name, due,idMembers"}Feed the result into an Iterator to act on one card at a time — for example, comment on each overdue card.
- Only cards from one list are returned. To sweep a whole board, list each column, or use the HTTP node over
GET /boards/{idBoard}/cards. - Archived cards are not included by default.
- Restricting
fieldsreduces the payload noticeably on lists with many cards, which matters when the array is stored in the execution trace.
Related Nodes
Section titled “Related Nodes”- Trello - Get Card — read a single card in full.
- Trello - Update Card — move each card you found.
- Iterator — loop over the returned array.
