What is a BigCommerce Credential

A BigCommerce credential allows your workflows to connect with your BigCommerce store to manage products, orders, customers, and store operations through the BigCommerce REST API.

How to Get the Credentials

Step 1: Access API Settings

1. Log in to your BigCommerce control panel
2. Go to Settings > API > API Accounts
3. Click Create API Account > Create V2/V3 API Token

Step 2: Configure the API Account

1. Enter a name for the account (e.g., “Floogos Integration”)
2. Under OAuth Scopes, select the required permissions for each resource
3. Select modify for read and write access on the resources you need
4. Click Save

Step 3: Copy the Credentials

1. The Access Token, Client ID, and Client Secret will be displayed
2. Copy the Access Token immediately (it is only shown once)
3. The Store Hash can be found in your panel URL: store-{hash}.mybigcommerce.com
4. Enter the Store Hash and Access Token in Floogos

Troubleshooting

Authentication Error

• Verify the Access Token is correct and has not expired
• Confirm the Store Hash corresponds to your store
• Make sure the API account has not been deleted

Insufficient Permissions

• Review the OAuth Scopes assigned to the API account
• Make sure you have read and write permissions on the necessary resources
• Create a new API account with the correct permissions if needed

Rate Limit Reached

• BigCommerce limits API requests per time window
• Implement retries with delays between requests
• Check response headers to know remaining limits
