What is a DeepSeek Credential
Section titled “What is a DeepSeek Credential”A DeepSeek credential allows your workflows to use DeepSeek language models for text generation, code, and advanced reasoning. You need an API key from the DeepSeek platform.

How to Get the API Key
Section titled “How to Get the API Key”- Go to platform.deepseek.com
- Create an account or sign in
- Navigate to the API Keys section
- Click Create new API key
- Give it a descriptive name (e.g., “Floogos”)
- Copy the key immediately (it won’t be shown again)
- Paste it in the API Key field in Floogos
Available Models
Section titled “Available Models”- DeepSeek-V3: Main text generation model
- DeepSeek-R1: Advanced reasoning model
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Authentication Error
Section titled “Authentication Error”- Verify the API key is correct
- Check that your account has available credits
Slow Responses
Section titled “Slow Responses”- Reasoning models like R1 may take longer
- Consider using DeepSeek-V3 for tasks requiring fast responses
Security
Section titled “Security”- Never share your API key publicly
- Use different keys for each environment
- Rotate keys periodically
- If a key is compromised, revoke it immediately
