How to Get the Credentials

Step 1: Create Developer Account

1. Go to mercadopago.com/developers
2. Sign in with your Mercado Pago account or create one
3. Accept the developer program terms

Step 2: Create an Application

1. In the developer panel, click Create application
2. Name your application (e.g., “Floogos Payments”)
3. Select the payment solution you need
4. Accept the terms and create the application

Step 3: Get Test Credentials

1. Inside your application, go to the Credentials section
2. Select Test credentials
3. Copy the test Access Token and test Public Key

Step 4: Get Production Credentials

1. In the Credentials section, select Production credentials
2. Complete the requirements to activate production (if needed)
3. Copy the production Access Token and production Public Key

Troubleshooting

Authentication Error

• Verify you’re using the correct credentials (test vs production)
• Confirm the Access Token hasn’t expired

Payments Declined

• In test mode, use the test cards provided by Mercado Pago
• In production, verify your account status and operation limits

Production Credentials Not Available
