Monday.com - Get Item

↩ Part of the Monday.com integration.

This module reads one item by its id with the items GraphQL query:

query($id: ID!) {
items(ids: [$id]) {
id
name
column_values { id text value }
}
}

Every column comes back with three fields: its id, a human-readable text and the raw value as JSON, which is what you need if you plan to feed it back into an update.

FieldTypeRequiredDescription

item_idtextYesNumeric item id

This module requires a Monday credential.

If the id does not match any item, data is null and the node still reports success — check for null in the next node.

  • This is the easiest way to discover the column ids you need for Create Item and Update Item: run it once against a real item and read the id of each entry in column_values.
  • text is the display value and value is the raw JSON as a string. Parse value when you need the structured form.
  • The node reads a single item. To list many, filter a board or run a paginated query, use GraphQL Query.
  • A deleted item, or an item in a board your token cannot see, comes back as null rather than as an error.
