Synced customer onboarding across tools
A new customer should exist in all your tools at once, with no manual work. With a single workflow, the onboarding propagates to the CRM, the task manager and your workspace.
Scenario
Section titled “Scenario”A new customer signs. You want them to end up: (1) as an account/contact in the CRM, (2) with their onboarding task assigned to the team, and (3) as a row in the Notion customer database or the monday board — all with the same data, without double entry.
How the workflow is built
Section titled “How the workflow is built”- Trigger — the deal moves to “Won” (cron with Salesforce: SOQL query / HubSpot: Search objects), or an onboarding form.
- Salesforce: Upsert by external id — creates or updates the account without risking duplicates (key: the email or your own customer id).
- ClickUp: Create task (
clickupCreateTask) — the onboarding task in the team’s list, withdue_dateand assignee. - Notion: Create page (
notionCreatePage) — a row in the customer database with the customer properties. (or Monday: Create item on the customer board). - Slack — the final notification to the channel with links to the three created records.
Key points
Section titled “Key points”- Sync without duplicates: Salesforce’s upsert and prior searches prevent creating the same customer twice if the workflow runs more than once.
- Each tool has its own format: Notion uses typed properties (Notion-format JSON), monday uses
column_valuesas JSON, ClickUp uses dates in milliseconds. The nodes document it on their page; the workflow just maps your data. - Remember to share the Notion database with your integration (otherwise it returns 404 even with a valid token).
Related nodes
Section titled “Related nodes”- Salesforce, HubSpot — the CRM.
